We all buy bottled water from our nearest supermarket or retailer, but do we really know what we are paying for? What do all the things on the labels mean? Prepared Water, Natural Mineral/ Spring Water, Alkaline Water, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ozonation (O3), UV Treatment, Alkalinity, pH, TDS etc?

Most of us do not understand what the chemical/ mineral analysis on the bottles mean, nor do we know what the differences are between all the waters available on the market.
Bottled water can be classified under three main types of water available on the market according to the laws of South Africa. These are: Prepared Water, Natural Spring Water and Natural Mineral Water. Prepared water is commonly obtained from a public distribution system, in other words normal tap water that has undergone filtration (preparation, thus prepared water) to remove impurities. Prepared water bottlers have to state on their labels, according to the laws of South Africa, the following: “Prepared Water”, and “obtained from a public distribution system”. They are not allowed to sell their water as Natural Mineral Water nor Natural Spring Water. These waters are relatively safe to drink as long as there are some minerals added back into the water before it is bottled or consumed.
Why drink Alkaline Sion Water?
Acid wastes (from the lifestyles we lead – not only from food and drink, but also from stress and other pollutants) are dumped into the bloodstream and lymph, and then are transported to the liver and kidneys for the detoxification processing and elimination.

Keep in mind that a pH of 8 and above is the only range that is beneficial to your good health: An Alkaline body is when your body is in a healthy state therefore allowing your body to fight bacterial and infectious diseases as well as many other critical diseases.
Alkaline water is water with a pH of 8.0 and above. Sion Premium Mineral Water is an Alkaline water with a pH of 8.0, otherwise known as the Perfect pH for water.
