Rustenburg – Darren Archer from Rustenburg has been selected as one of the finalists of Mr Deaf South Africa 2017, and needs our support in the form of sponsorships and pledges.

Darren (30) hails from Grahamstown. Today he’s an administration clerk at Rustenburg Steel Construction in the CCTV section. 

In an interview with the Platinum Weekly newspaper, Darren tells his story. “I went to Dominican Grimley School for the Deaf in Hout Bay, Cape Town.” His outlook on life inspires. “I’m deaf and have a cochlear implant, so I’m managing well with it,” he said.

Darren is an artistic, caring, honest and compassionate kind of guy. He loves animals and is a huge movie and series fan! The Mr Deaf South Africa 2017 is the very first pageant Darren has ever entered and wants to make Rustenburg proud. “I’m very excited and have my eye on gold!”
