Rustenburg – The Platinum Stars held Orlando Pirates to a 0-0 draw in the Absa Premier Soccer League clash on Wednesday night, 8 February 2017, at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
As a result, Dikwena moved up to position 12 on the log white the Buccaneers remains in 10th position. The Pirates dominated ball possession in the opening exchanges as they looked to find the back of the net early in the match. Dikwena goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela saved Oupa Manyisa’s long range shot in the 17th minute mark. 
While Dikwena started getting into the game after 20 minutes and had better chances of scoring; they were let down by their finishes. The two teams continued to struggle to find the back of the net in the second half and the match ended in a goalless-draw.
Dikwena will take a break on league action this weekend as they will be representing South Africa in the CAF African Confederation tournament against Uniao Do Songo of Mozambique. The match will take place on Saturday night, 11 February 2017 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. Kick-off is at 15h30 in the afternoon.
