Rustenburg – On Thursday, 2 February 2017, the Nur-Ul-Iman Muslim School community gathered to bid the 2016 Grade 12 students farewell and to celebrate their achievements.

Although the overriding tone of the occasion was jovial, there were also notes of nostalgia and sadness; moreover the speeches from Attiyah Patel (student), Moulana Mohammed (BOG Chairman) and Mr L. Nadasen (Principal) provided much food for thought.

The event was very touching as the whole school and community gathered to remember the 13 year old journey of education and the students’ excellent results they posted in 2016.

It was fitting that Moulana Mohammed the BOG Chairman presented the Grade 12s with special awards. Every student was a winner as they were presented with certificates and gifts. The following awards were presented to the best achieving learners at the ceremony:

Grade 12 Awards: Top learner (6 distinctions): Ayesha Wadee, second best (5 distinctions): Attiyah Patel, and third best learner (5 distinctions): Nasseredine Berriche.

“As Nur-Ul-Iman Muslim School we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Zinniaville community for supporting this noble cause. We wish the Class of 2016 all the best of success in their future endeavours!”
