Rustenburg – Two more rhino poachers were arrested on Wednesday 4 July and are now in custody for killing the endangered wild animals for their horns at the Pilanesberg National Park.

The first poacher was arrested on Monday 2 July when members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) found six rhino horns in a vehicle the poachers were travelling in on the Lindleyspoort road just off the Boshoek/Sun City road. The six rhino horns have an estimated value of R6 million. They are confirmed to be from two cows and a calf which have not yet been dehorned by the Pilanesberg National Park. A statement from the SAPS provincial organised crime unit and game rangers commended all those involved in the arrest of the poachers.
