Rustenburg – The Rustenburg Police arrested a couple and seized cocaine with an estimated street value of more than R80, 000.00 during a raid at their property in Rustenburg Noord, in the early hours of Monday morning, 6 March 2017. 

The arrests came as a result of an ongoing intelligence driven operations aimed to curb drug trafficking activities and other serious crimes within the Rustenburg Cluster. 

According to Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, police spokesperson, the Police have been monitoring the illegal drug dealings that were taking place at the house for some time.

Members of K9 Phokeng raided the house. They recovered cocaine weighing 323.5 grams concealed inside the pillows in the couple’s bed. The pair aged, 32 and 43, appeared before the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court facing charges of the possession of drugs. Investigations continue.
