Rustenburg – An armed robbery occurred at ABSA, c/o Beyers Naude and Nelson Mandela drives, on Friday afternoon, 17 March 2017.

A local businessman, about to deposit a large amount of cash, was on his way to the bank, when three men overpowered him and held him at gunpoint. The man and his colleague were forced to lay on the ground.

A training pilot went on a solo flight and experienced engine problems.

According to eye witnesses, the cash was stolen and the three men fired a shot and took off. The bullet hit the car of the businessman. The three armed men took off with a silver BMW with unknown registration plates.
