Grenville High School annually celebrates their English Day, to celebrate quality and quantity performance of local English medium schools. Grenville High celebrates this with Lebone II, Fields College and Selly Park Secondary.

The day consists of both cultural and sporting events. For the culture spectrum; debating, public speaking, serenade competition and general knowledge quizzes are on the menu. For the sport, the athletes take part in netball, hockey, soccer, tennis and chess.

Cassandra Stemmer, head girl at Grenville High and Neo Sechele, head boy of Grenville, won the senior public speaking event.

This year’s English Day took place on Saturday, 25 March 2017, at Grenville.

The overall winner public speaking was Grenville High School, the overall winner of the hockey was Selly Park Secondary, and the overall winner of the netball was Grenville High School.
