Kroondal/ Rustenburg – Queen of Africa 2020 winner Naledi Ramaboea handed out 60 sanitary wear packs to learners at Tirelong Secondary School on Friday 17 July as part of a social responsibility project aimed at assisting young disadvantaged girls in our communities.

There was a buzz of excitement when the accomplished model arrived at the Kroondal-based school in the company of social worker Nhlanhla Nkabinde. The learners were visibly grateful as Naledi distributed the packs with the help of school governing body chairman David Mmolotsi and social welfare educator Thibamo Letta.

“It’s about restoring the dignity of a young girl,” Naledi said. During a girl-to-girl motivational talk, she urged learners to be confident and to reach for their dreams by working hard in school.

Nhlanhla, who adopted the school a few years ago, also gave the girls valuable personal advice.
