Rustenburg – FAS is the most common preventable form of mental disability in the world and occur in children of mothers who misuse alcohol during their pregnancies.
Rustenburg Skool vir Buitengewone Onderwys, who has several learners with FAS aims to raise awareness for this cause on Friday 15 October. To spread the word, they will be selling stickers for R10 each that can proudly be worn with funky socks.
In the past they have received mass support from local schools and businesses and once again would like to invite their supporters to join in the effort to raise awareness. This will also serve as a fundraising campaign for the school, who has not been able to host other fundraising events due to the Covid-19 regulations.
Buy your sticker, wear your funky socks and share information about this totally preventable mental disability.
