Maemo Motors gives back to the community
Playing it forward with a golf day
Maemo Motors Commercial Vehicles and Maemo Motors Passenger Vehicles joined forces to host their Inaugural Maemo Motors Charity Golf Day on Friday 8 October.
Held at the Mooinooi Golf Club, which was generously provided at no cost, the goal of the day was to raise funds for our local charities and non-profit organisations (NPOs).
The generosity did not stop there. Sponsors and donations came flooding in from near and far making the day, which was enjoyed by all, an enormous success. We were able to donate a total of R68,190 to eight different charities and NPOs that give so much to our community.
“We would like to give a special thanks to SafetyGrip, Cemblocks, Dew Plant Hire, Provest, Hyundai, Henwil Chickens and BP Boshfontein for sponsoring the prizes which were generously forfeited by the winners and donated to the charities and NPOs,” said Maemo Motors Rustenburg dealer principal Byron Stephenson.
The Charities and NPOs which were unanimously selected are: Thabang Children’s Home, Care 2b Kind Rustenburg, Harties Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), Bessie Mpelegele Ngwana Day Care, Food Forward Rustenburg, Rustenburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Lighthouse Children’s Home and Hospice Rustenburg.

Sharpen your pencils for the Maths Olympiad
Tunisi Programme hosted their Annual Math Olimpiad on Saturday 16 October. They make math fun by teaching youngsters in Bafokeng and Rustenburg how to simplify complex calculations.
Maemo Motors Jeep and Mitsubishi sales manager Odirile Molokwane said: “Giving back to the community is something we are very passionate about. This is a great platform where children can do what they love and in this case, it’s maths – and we encourage that.” Maemo Motors sponsored a seven-seater for the week that was utilised to transport the youngsters.
Mathematics play a key role in the growth of our country’s economy. Not all Math talented individuals come from cities and suburbs, but from rural communities and they need to be developed.
Maemo Motors Rustenburg and the Tunisi Programme understand the importance of developing these youngsters mathematical skills with various programmes – the Math Olympiad being one of them.
