Rand Water has scheduled a planned shutdown of its B11 and B19 pipelines from 15 to 17 November 2021.

The shutdown forms part of Rand Water’s B19 Pipeline Augmentation Project and is the final leg to increase B19 pipeline volumes.

Rand Water has provided the affected municipal customers with a 21-days notification of the scheduled shutdown to allow them to execute their appropriate contingency plans.
The following municipal customers will be affected:

  • Johannesburg
  • Rustenburg Local Municipality
  • Madibeng Local Municipality
  • Mogale City Local Municipality
  • Rand West Local Municipality
  • Merafong Local Municipality
  • Metsimaholo Local Municipality
  • Emfuleni Local Municipality

This does not mean that there will be no supply of water during the water shutdown. Certain areas may experience a shortage of water or low pressure.

Rand Water would like to urge all consumers to continue using water sparingly.
