Rustenburg – The Rustenburg Community Policing Forum (CPF) executive committee was officially elected at Agape Church on Thursday 2 June. This election was welcomed after enormous challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic.

The proceedings were steered by provincial CPF chairperson Mgamulane, side by side with the CPF provincial coordinator captain Maatla, and supported by both Rustenburg police management led by brigadier Pheto as well as the provincial commander in partnership policing colonel Myburg.

A committee of ten was elected consisting of chairperson Kagiso Marobe, deputy chairperson Marcus Haasboek, secretary Mercia Haasbroek, deputy secretary Daisy Moloko, treasurer Rassie Byleveld as well as Hennie Barnard, Dawie Odendaal, Koketso Mpudi, Tina Vosloo and Nphiwe Mtunge as five additional members.

On behalf of the Department of Transport, Roads and Community Safety, director Nchoe oversaw the democratic and well attended process. She expressed her gratitude and further encouraged the community to continue to be the reliable, honest eyes and ears of the police.
