Rustenburg – The Kloofview Primary School in Manuka street, Geelhout Park, was robbed over the weekend.  

“According to the school teachers and personnel, the doors and windows were locked when they left for the day on Friday, 20 January 2017, and as always, the alarm was activated,” Captain Elsabé Augoustides, police spokesperson, said. “On Sunday morning, 22 January at about 08h30, the principal reported a burglary at the school.”

The suspects gained access through the roof of the administration block. A safe was grinded open and the alarm cables were cut. A number of laptops, tablets, computers, a cheque book, a digital camera, keys and cash were stolen, all to the estimated value of R705 000,00.

A case of business burglary has been opened and the Police are investigating. 

Schools are requested to tighten their security after hours and especially over weekends. Any person with information is requested to contact Lt Col Pule directly on 082-773 0047.
