THE CLUE YOU TOUCH... COULD BE THE CLUE POLICE NEED

Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – A fingerprint on a door or DNA left at a crime scene could help police identify a suspect. SAPS in Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 is urging residents to help protect that evidence.

Warrant officer Ofentse Mokgadi said people should avoid touching or moving objects at a crime scene until the Local Criminal Record Centre has examined the area and collected possible evidence. Residents are also asked to cooperate with the first officers on the scene, detectives and forensic personnel. Preserving a scene gives investigators the best chance of finding clues that could help bring an offender to justice.
