Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, to ensure safety of workers and material
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability
• Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
• Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined space, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment
• Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts
• Read blueprints/ plans and conduct a full layout of baselines and machinery positions
• Comply with regulations and safety requirements.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill  

• Grade 12 Matric Certificate
• Necessary certificates
• 3-5 years’ experience – underground mining
• Valid public driver’s license code EB (08)
• S.A residents
• Relocation to the area will be required
