Impala’s Rugby spirit soars at home clash

Rustenburg – Cheers erupted across the Impala Rugby Club home grounds on Saturday, 21 June 2025, as over 500 supporters gathered to watch two thrilling Leopards Neser A League clashes between Impala Rugby Club and Sibanye-Stillwater SAPGM Rugby Club.

Both the first and second teams took to the field, with energy high and community support even higher. Although the first team gave it their all, they were defeated 35–11 by a determined Sibanye-Stillwater side.

But it wasn’t all disappointment — the Impala second team, proudly sponsored by Multifab and known as the Multifab Vikings, delivered a resounding 17–10 victory, showcasing skill, teamwork, and fierce determination.

“After the first round, our first team holds 5th place on the log, and our second team stands strong in 3rd,” said director of rugby, Johan Engelbrecht. “The support from our community means the world. We play with heart — for the badge and for Rustenburg.”
