Rustenburg – The Impala Rugby Club hosted a prestigious year end function for all its players and sponsors on Friday, 1 December, held at the Impala Rugby Club.
Sponsors, players and management enjoyed an evening of awards, good food and great entertainment.
Notable awards included:
Henro Huyser was named first team forward of the year
Mcdonald Duma was selected as first team backline player of the year
Johan Oberholzer received the Janus Beukes Trophy for club man of the year
Leon du Plessis and Louis Hollamby were named as players of the year (joint)
Mcebisi Nomandela was named as the third team’s player of the year; and
Marius Breytenbach was awarded viking of the year.
Without sponsorship, the club would not be able to reach the goals they have set and are grateful to the following sponsors: Newrak Mining, Impala Platinum, Double D&G, Kia Rustenburg, Bidvest Protea Coin, Hyper Meat Market and INGA.
