Rustenburg – Hendrina Pretorius and her 9-year old son was attacked on a farm in Boons, just outside Rustenburg, on Wednesday evening 10 October.


According to police spokesperson captain Elsabé Augoustides, the nightmare started at about 19:00 when three men overpowered Hendrina and her son as they arrived home. The attackers forced them into the house and tied them up.  


The criminals ransacked the house and fled with cash, five cell phones and Hendrina’s hand gun.
After they had fled, Hendrina managed to untie herself and her son, and drove to safety where after she contacted the police in Boons, who rapidly responded.


A search for the three suspects has commenced and a case of armed robbery is being investigated.
