Rustenburg – Local football team, Heroes Academy have been promoted from the Rustenburg Cluster League to the Super League following an impressive season. 


On Sunday 11 August, the team from Boitekong Extension 23 demonstrated why they have become a force to be reckoned with. They gained an impressive 3 – 0 victory over Ikageng Big 11. 


Player maker Timothy ‘Sterling’ Mokotedi was the star of the match, scoring a hat-trick after coming off the bench. 


Heroes academy coach Kagiso Moalusi is satisfied with the progress the team has made and is proud of the impact their success is having on the community. 

“We would like to make a change in this community. Through soccer, we would like to reduce the number of drug and alcohol addicts in this area,” Kagiso said.


“We are not a professional club and financial donations to assist us fulfil our dreams are very welcome,” he concluded.
