Koster double murder case postponed to October
Rustenburg – The case against the two men accused of murdering George William Koster (68) and Wilma Reinet Koster (65) has been adjourned until 16 October 2025 for further investigations, confirmed Sivenathi Gunya, the NPA’s communication officer for the North West division.
The Koster couple were brutally gunned down in broad daylight at Platinum Square Shopping Centre on Saturday, 14 June 2025.
The accused were arrested following a swift and intense police investigation. One suspect reportedly confessed to being the getaway driver, while the other allegedly admitted to pulling the trigger. He later led authorities to the firearm used in the shooting and to his co-accused in Rustenburg East. Bail was previously denied when the suspects appeared in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court in July. Both men remain in custody.
