Warning on the N4

Rustenburg – Motorists travelling along the N4 between Brits Plaza and Rustenburg are urged to be cautious following recent reports of stones and rocks being thrown at vehicles along this stretch of road.

Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire, responsible for maintaining and monitoring the N1N4 route, issued a public safety alert on 17 October 2025 via their official Facebook page. The post confirmed that their patrol teams are on duty 24/7 to keep the route clear and ensure the safety of all road users.

However, these recent incidents present a serious hazard. Rocks thrown from the roadside can cause severe vehicle damage, injuries, or worse. Motorists are advised to remain vigilant, especially when driving at night, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to Bakwena’s control room or the nearest authorities.
