Bakkie bursts into flames in Vink Avenue

Rustenburg – Residents of Vink Avenue were startled by loud bangs on Wednesday night, 22 October 2025, when a bakkie caught fire around 21:00. The petrol tank and tyres reportedly exploded, sending shockwaves through the neighbourhood.

Emergency teams — including Rustenburg First Responders, Fidelity Fire and Rescue, and the Rustenburg Local Municipality’s Fire Department — rushed to the scene within minutes. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

A vigilant community member’s quick call to the fire department ensured the flames were swiftly brought under control before they could spread.
