Tragic midnight accident claims pedestrian’s life on R24

Rustenburg – In the early hours of Sunday morning, 9 November 2025, a pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle on the R24 near Magalies View.

At approximately 00:14, Rustenburg First Responders received an urgent call reporting the incident. Their team, together with Bojanala EMS Response Vehicle, was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found that the pedestrian had sustained fatal injuries. “Despite all efforts, the individual was sadly declared deceased on scene,” said Ammaar Wadee, administrator of Rustenburg First Responders.

He added: “Our team extends heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.”
