Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – Two dedicated martial artists celebrated major achievements on 17 December 2025 at the TSKKIA Honbu Dojo in Rustenburg, where sensei Naeelah Jardien and sensei Akhilesh Ishwarlall successfully completed their Dan gradings.
Sensei Jardien graded to 1st Dan (Shodan), marking the beginning of her journey as a black belt and reflecting years of dedication and discipline. Sensei Ishwarlall advanced to 2nd Dan (Nidan), a rank that recognises refined skill, consistency, and leadership within the martial arts. The grading was overseen by Pieter Albert Venter, kancho of the Traditional Shotokan Karate Kobudo International Association (TSKKIA), who expressed pride in both Sensei for their accomplishments. These achievements highlight the values of perseverance, respect, and personal growth promoted by TSKKIA.
