Bakubung Primary’s ‘Career Day’: dressing up for tomorrow
Rustenburg - On Thursday 8 August 2023, the hallways of Bakubung Primary School were a little more colourful and animated than usual. With tiny doctors, firefighters, librarians and more, the school’s Grade R ‘Career Dress-up Day’ was in full swing.
The day was designed not merely as an exercise in creativity and fun, but with the broader vision to plant seeds of ambition, nurturing young minds to ponder their future roles in society. From the laughter and chatter, it was evident that these children were excited to imagine the endless possibilities the world holds for them.
The success of such an event relies on more than just the enthusiasm of the little ones. It requires collaboration, commitment, and the support of the broader community. In this regard, Bakubung Primary School extended its gratitude to the various stakeholders who stepped up to make the day memorable. Heartfelt thanks go out to Sun Village SuperSpar, Moses Kotane Hospital Clinical Office, Moses Kotane Sub-district EMS, Department of Social Development, Lesang Bana ELC, Mogwase Community Library, Mogwase Fire Station, Pastor Dube from Bridge of Hope Outreach, Sun City SAPS, Moses Kotane LEO Subject Specialists, and the dedicated Grade R parents.
Through collective effort, the day wasn’t just about costumes, but about shaping visions and dreams for the future. The children of Bakubung Primary School are a testament to the power of community and imagination combined.
