Rustenburg – In a captivating match held on Saturday 2 March 2024, at Thohoyandou Stadium in Limpopo, ORBIT TVET College’s Football Club (FC) clinched a dramatic victory over Venda FC. The game, part of the ongoing Motsepe Foundation Championship (NFD), saw a rollercoaster of emotions, skilful play, and a triumphant comeback by ORBIT FC, ending in a 2-1 win.

The match kicked off at 15:30, with both teams eager to secure the win. The early minutes were intense, and Venda FC quickly made their mark. Tshovelo Mathebula, representing Venda FC, found the net in the very first minute, setting a fast-paced tone for the game. Despite falling behind early, ORBIT FC showed resilience and determination. The first half concluded with ORBIT FC trailing by one goal, setting the stage for a suspenseful second half. The team’s persistence paid off when Alucious Wagaba scored a crucial equalizer for ORBIT FC, reigniting the team’s hopes and the spirits of their supporters. The momentum shifted, and ORBIT FC began to dominate the field. In a moment of brilliance, Gomolemo Khoto broke through Venda FC’s defence to score the winning goal in the 79th minute, securing a well-deserved 2-1 victory for ORBIT FC.

“Laduma!” exclaimed Reuben Marakalala, the communication officer for ORBIT TVET College, highlighting the exhilaration and pride felt by the team and its supporters. This win not only boosts ORBIT FC’s morale but also positions them as a formidable team in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

ORBIT FC is now preparing for their next challenge, set to face Maritzburg United on Saturday 9 March 2024, at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg. The match is eagerly anticipated, with kick-off scheduled for 15:30. Fans and supporters are rallying behind ORBIT FC, wishing them luck and success in their upcoming game.
