BLAZING THE TRACK

Rustenburg – The Rustenburg Educational College (REC) Private High School’s athletics team sprinted into the spotlight at the sub-district athletics competition, proudly representing their school. The talented young athletes competed at the sub-district cluster held at Hoër Tegniese Skool Rustenburg (HTS) on 10 February 2025.

Coach Ndebele expressed pride in the team’s performance, saying, “They represented the school well. I’m proud of them. We wish Thato Mbele the best!”

One of the standout performances of the day came from Thato Mbele, who clinched first place in the u/17 200m sprint and secured second place in the u/17 100m dash — a remarkable achievement.
