Rustenburg – The spirit of karate was alive and strong at the TSKKIA International All Styles tournament, hosted in Rustenburg from 1 to 3 August 2025. Local athletes showcased their talent, discipline, and determination on an international stage, bringing home an impressive medal haul.

Among the stars was Jano van den Berg, who clinched 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze – a remarkable achievement that now crowns him both a TSKKIA International and National Champion. Equally inspiring was Juandré Oelofse, who competed in the Inclusive Division, a category created to celebrate and empower students with special needs. Juandré proved that karate is truly for everyone, walking away with 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze. Adding to the family’s joy, his mother, Daleen Oelofse, also excelled at the tournament, taking home 2 Gold medals – making her, too, a TSKKIA International and National Champion.
