Rustenburg – The spirit of karate was alive and strong at the TSKKIA International All Styles Championships, held from 1–3 August 2025 in Rustenburg, where young athletes from across the country showcased their skill, discipline, and determination. Among the standout performers were two sibling duos who proudly brought home medals and new titles as TSKKIA International and National Champions.

Brother-and-sister team MJ and Lene van der Mescht impressed the judges with their sharp techniques and fighting spirit. MJ walked away with two Golds, one Silver and one Bronze, while his sister Lene earned one Gold and two Silvers. Another sibling duo, Toyosi and Tiwa Iluyomade, also made their mark on the mats. Toyosi secured one Silver and one Bronze, while her sister Tiwa clinched one Gold and one Bronze.

These achievements highlight not only the talent within the local karate community but also the value of dedication, family support, and sportsmanship.
