From Rustenburg to Berlin

 

Rustenburg – The streets of Berlin were alive with determination, endurance, and pride on Sunday, 21 September 2025, as two of Rustenburg’s very own athletes flew the flag high at the prestigious BMW Berlin Marathon.

Rustenburg Run/Walk for Life ambassadors Kay Khoza and Martha Moloto joined thousands of runners from across the globe in the 42.2 km race, one of the world’s most iconic marathons. Both crossed the finish line with remarkable times: Kay powered through in 3:07:20, while Martha finished strong in 3:44:06.

This marks an extraordinary achievement for the duo, who not only represented Rustenburg but also proved that dedication, discipline, and community spirit can take local athletes to international heights.
