
Slam-Dunks at Bafokeng Basketball Finals!
Phokeng/ Rustenburg – The energy was electric as Royal Bafokeng Sports hosted the 2025 Royal Bafokeng Basketball Finals on 27 September 2025 at the Royal Marang Hotel and Sport Resort — marking 14 years of sporting excellence, youth development, and community unity.
More than 4,000 enthusiastic spectators and players gathered to celebrate one of the region’s most anticipated sporting events. The finals featured thrilling matches, fun family activations, kids’ play areas, and performances by the Hybrid Humans International Dunk Squad, alongside music sensations Aymos and Scotts Maphuma.

Leading up to the finals, excitement echoed through Rustenburg and Phokeng, with community roadshows, basketball clinics, and outreach hoop sessions drawing fans from all corners of the Bafokeng nation.
“To see how far Royal Bafokeng Basketball has come is truly inspiring,” said Emile Smith, managing director of Royal Bafokeng Sports. “This programme is not only about sport — it’s about empowering our youth, celebrating community, and creating a legacy that resonates beyond the court.”
