Rustenburg – On Saturday 8 November 2025, local athlete and proud member of Run/Walk for Life Rustenburg made a mark on one of South Africa’s most thrilling running events. Sani Stagger Down Run – the 21.1 km route beginning at the Lesotho border and finishing at the foothills of Sani Pass – offered daring athletes a bucket-list challenge: they were driven up the pass in a 4×4 and then ran 21.1 km down the mountain.

We celebrate Regina Dube’s phenomenal achievement in this dramatic, scenic event – a route that combines the thrill of a mountainous drive with a demanding downhill run.
