Rustenburg – Born and bred in Rustenburg, Sibusiso Mabiliso is Kaizer Chiefs’ left back and was also a member of the South African team that participated in the recently held Tokyo Olympic Games.

The 22-year-old, who joined Chiefs from AmaZulu, is making a name for himself in the DStv Premier League and will be out to claim a regular spot in Amakhosi’s first team during the 2021/22 season.
Mabiliso’s skills were developed by respected coach Cavin Johnson while the two were still with Platinum Stars.

“I was developed at Platinum Stars’ academy. I’m from a small village outside Rustenburg. From Platinum Stars, I joined AmaZulu in 2018. I made my PSL debut at the age of 18 and was given my debut by coach Cavin Johnson.”

At AmaZulu, Mabiliso made 85 league appearances, which made a positive impression at Kaizer Chiefs. The experience of having represented Bafana Bafana against Uganda in June 2021 was a step in the right direction for his career.

Taking part in the Tokyo Olympics with the South African U23 team was yet another stepping-stone for him. At the young age of 22, the defender already has considerable international experience. Watch this space!
