Education shapes tomorrow’s workforce — but are we teaching the right skills? With technology, sustainability, and new industries rapidly growing, many wonder if our school curriculum prepares learners for the jobs of today and the future. What’s your view?
No. I wish school had taught me how to change a car battery, fix a flat tire, or handle basic home repairs — skills that actually come up in everyday life. Instead, I memorised that the mitochondria are the “powerhouse of the cell” and dissected frogs. Useful? Not really. Schools should prepare us for real-world challenges, not just exams.
