A Splash of Rain, a Shower of Savings!
Rustenburg – Not even a rainy Saturday could dampen the excitement at the Three Star Cash & Carry Stokvel Expo, held at the Impala Rugby Club on 8 November 2025. The annual event, now in its 16th year, brought together stokvel members from across the region for a day filled with fun, great deals, and community spirit.
With 38 suppliers showcasing everything from groceries to household goods, visitors enjoyed sampling products, grabbing goodie bags, and taking part in raffles. Lucky attendees stood a chance to win exciting prizes including air fryers, mini ovens, microwaves, and cookware sets — as well as hampers from popular brands like Colgate and Sasko.
Three Star Cash & Carry manager, Wayne Labuschagne, said the team was thrilled with the turnout. “Despite the light rain, the day was a great success. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the turnout exceeded our expectations. I would like to thank all our stokvel members for joining us to make the day an incredible success,” he said.
For many, the expo is an annual highlight — a chance to stock up, socialise and discover new products.
Add a Twist promoter Evi du Pont shared: “Events like this give us the chance to connect directly with our customers and show them what our products can offer. The energy was great, even with the rain, and we were thrilled to see how many stokvel members stopped by our stand.”
Three Star customer Katlego Mere echoed this excitement: “The expo was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the giveaways and really felt appreciated as customers. Three Star always goes the extra mile for stokvels, and that’s why we keep coming back every year.”
