Our Ward Matters cleans, cares and connects
Rustenburg – From clearing riverside grass to delivering Christmas presents, Our Ward Matters (OWM) once again showed that real community transformation comes from teamwork, consistency, and heart. Even with rain slowing them down, the volunteers — led by André van Dyk and Cllr Tanya Rothman, with support from the EPWP team — spent the week bringing visible change to Wards 16 and 17. Every week, OWM proves one thing: when people care, hope becomes visible.
Spreading Christmas Joy | The OWM Cares team had the privilege of delivering Christmas gifts to Emmanuel Sorg NPC, bringing early festive cheer to children and caregivers. Along with the presents, residents donated clothing, stationery, and household essentials — a reminder of what Rustenburg’s kindness can achieve. The handover was done by Ilse du Preez, Jonas Mokhini, and André van Dyk, alongside Cllr Tanya Rothman.

Donation Drive | The spirit of giving continued as Ronel Peyper and Ilse du Preez delivered books, clothing, and household items to:
