Rustenburg Tourism Expo Brings Businesses Together
Rustenburg – Rustenburg’s tourism and hospitality heartbeat was strong and steady on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, when Rustenburg Accommodation, Tourism and Adventure hosted its highly successful Supplier Exhibition.
The event brought together business owners, managers, students, travel agents, tour operators, tourism associations, and industry buyers — all under one roof, all eager to connect. The result? A day filled with energy, ideas, collaboration, and inspiration.
The exhibition created the perfect platform for suppliers to showcase their products and services. Stalls offered everything from guesthouse linen, restaurant cleaning supplies, handcrafted jewellery, fashion and décor, to wellness services from professional masseuses and even locally distilled alcohol. Travel agents and tour operators also explored new tourism packages designed to spotlight Rustenburg’s unique offerings.
“This opportunity has been incredible for networking. I reconnected with many businesses I previously worked with, making it a truly valuable experience,” said Ons Dorphuis Guesthouse duty manager, Austin Opperman.
Rustenburg Local Municipality’s sector co-ordinator in Agriculture, Kgotso Genge, praised the impact of the exhibition: “This exhibition has truly showcased the strength of our tourism and hospitality sector. It created meaningful connections, opened doors for future collaborations, and highlighted the incredible potential within our local businesses.”
Chairlady of Rustenburg Accommodation, Tourism and Adventure, Anzelle Nortjé, shared similar sentiments: “This exhibition reflects the passion and innovation within Rustenburg’s tourism and hospitality sector. Seeing our suppliers, artisans, and service providers come together to showcase their talents is truly inspiring. Events like these strengthen our industry, build valuable partnerships, and highlight the incredible potential our region has to offer.”
With powerful networking, renewed partnerships, and fresh opportunities sparked throughout the day, the Supplier Exhibition proved to be a milestone event for Rustenburg’s ever-growing tourism landscape.
