Platinum Weekly newspaper | Rustenburg – The Miss Unique and Teen Kgatleng pageant continues to grow as one of the region’s most meaningful youth development platforms — proving that a pageant can be so much more than glitz, gowns, and crowns.

Now expanded to include pre-teens, the initiative focuses on early mentorship, confidence-building, education, and self-love. In just two years, the organisation has empowered 25 young women, equipping them with life skills that reach far beyond the stage.

Marketing director Kgaugelo Manyako, who holds a diploma in Business Administration (Marketing), has played a vital role in shaping the brand’s success and strategic outreach.

Their mission is rooted in confronting real challenges facing young people, including teenage pregnancy, crime, alcohol abuse, and drug dependency — and they are already seeing tangible positive results.

The 2025 finalists are a vibrant group of talented and passionate young women, each carrying her own story, dreams, and community vision. While they compete for the crown and a cash prize, the real reward includes the opportunity to enter a national pageant and receive professional makeup skills training from NyakuM Hair and Beauty.

The organisation expresses heartfelt gratitude to sponsors Marubini Photography and NyakuM Hair and Beauty, whose support continues to elevate the pageant and its impact.
