Silver lining for Rustenburg primary education
Rustenburg – Laerskool Silwerrand Primary has been operating for the past six years. In 2021, school principal Marlien van Rooyen will be expanding the school to offer English so that more children can benefit from Christian-based education.
The 9.5ha campus, located less than 2km off the R24 from Waterfall Mall, had a festive atmosphere decked with balloons, educational displays, and friendly educators to welcome potential learners and their parents to the school’s open day on Friday 9 October.
This school offers instruction in the CAPS curriculum as well as sports and cultural activities. The school director Charlene Schoeman explained that the school is registered with the Department of Basic Education and aims to develop children’s literacy, character, and promote a positive mindset for the future.
