OVER 200 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Rustenburg/ NW – The Police arrested 38 suspects in Rustenburg in a police operation that netted a total of over 200 throughout the province between Thursday and Friday 11 and 12 April respectively.

A police statement puts the figure at 225 suspects who were arrested for assault, robbery, burglary (residential and business) and rape.

According to the statement, of the arrested suspects, 39 were from Brits, 81 in Klerksdorp, 27 in Mahikeng, 16 in Vryburg, 14 in Pudimoe and 10 in Zeerust.  Most of the suspects have already appeared in various courts in the province on 13 and 16 April.
