AN ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND FOR RUGBY FANS

Rustenburg – Rustenburg rugby fans are bracing themselves for an action-packed weekend as the Sevens prepare to land in the city on 25 August.

Sixteen teams from the length and breadth of North West will descend on Rustenburg in what promises to be a humdinger of rugby action.

The Leopards will be hosting the second leg of the three Seven’s Tournament following the first leg which was held in Zeerust this past weekend. Local lads, “The Honey Badgers” won the Cup final against Klerksdorp.

The Sevens will not be without the usual boerewors braai and drinks. The main game will kick off at 16:00 and this is a once off Gold Cup Qualifying game. The winner of this match will represent North West Province in the Gold Cup next season.

The weekend’s programme is as follows:
08:00 – Pool games
12:00 – Knock out games
14:30 – Cup final
16:00 – Newrak Impala vs Klerksdorp
