THE PERFECT DAY FOR A POTJIE!

Rustenburg – Potjiekos lovers gathered at Watergat Pub & Grill on Saturday 29 June for a fun-filled day with delicious food and good music.

With all the ingredients ready, five teams took to the flames and competed in a potjiekos competition. Once the potjies were ready, it was presented and judged. Elsabé and Herman Smit triumphed with their seafood-chicken pot with delectable veggies. 

The various stalls and jumping castles provided even more entertainment for those not gathered around the fires.

In an interview with Platinum Weekly organiser Tertius Steynberg said: “It was a fun day, with good weather and the best atmosphere.

We plan to have more of these events and look forward to an even bigger and better one on 3 August.”
