NW – A man  ranked on the top 50 list of North West’s most wanted criminals, was arrested during provincial operations by police detectives from 4 to 5 July. 


Godfrey Moganedi, who had been on the run since 2012 after committing crimes including business robbery and carjacking in Lichtenburg and Itsoseng, was among the 239 suspects arrested for various offences during the raid, which was carried out accross North West. 


Of the total number of suspects arrested, 111 were for crimes associated with assault, seven for robbery, 15 for malicious damage to property, 25 for theft, six for rape, one for murder and 19 for residential and business burglaries. A further 28 were nabbed for crimes against women and children. 

“Suspects were arrested at all seven policing clusters in the province,” police spokesperson lieutenant colonel Amanda Funani said. 


The suspects made appearances at various courts in the province on Monday 8 July to answer for their crimes.
