Rustenburg – Local bikers club Immortal Guardians Rustenburg teamed up with Vrystaat Staan Saam (VSS) to make Saturday 25 July a day to remember for the residents of Rustenburg Rusoord. Showing their soft side and strong sense of community, they jumped at the opportunity to support the residents of Rustenburg Rusoord during these difficult COVID-19 times.

The members of the two clubs raised funds and collected donations that were handed over to the residents. One of the volunteers even offered to service the fire extinguishers at the old age home to ensure that the residents’ safety is a main priority.

“We stand together for our elderly and will always help where we can,” said VSS major general Jaco Coetzee.

Immortal Guardians Rustenburg president Anton Lombaard added: “We are not just a motor bike club; we believe in family and we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the elderly, we will always help them where we can.”

Zelda Vermeulen thanked the members not only for their generous donations but the time they spent to make it possible. “On behalf of all the residents at Rusoord, we would like to thank everyone who had a part in the amazing kindness that was shown here today.”
