SA – The North West Housing Corporation (NWHC) is determined to clear the current backlog on the home ownership waiting list as a priority that will pave way for the implementation of new housing developments to benefit residents of the North West province.

NWHC beneficiaries in Tlhabane, Lehurutshe, Itsoseng, Pudomoe, Atamelang, Madikwe, and Mogwase will all receive their long-awaited title deeds before the end of the year.

Since March 2020, the NWHC has been unable to issue title deeds because of the COVID-19 regulations and the closure of the deeds office – but NWHC chief executive officer Sello Mogodiri recently announced that the long wait for title deeds will soon be over. He said the NWHC, in partnership with the relevant local municipalities have prioritised the fast tracking of the title deeds to rightful occupants by placing these high on the agenda. “NWHC together with the Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs is working flat out towards ensuring that North West and cross border residents have access to formal title deeds, granting them ownership of the properties they occupy”.
