Koster finally has water in their taps

Koster – A broken water pump left the Koster community without water for more than a month.

Platinum Weekly reported in last week’s issue about the problems that the community faced that included the local vet almost having to reschedule operations, health risks and sewage building up. 

Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality spokesperson Sannah Magakgala said: “The team was working tirelessly to ensure that water was restored, and we are now happy to report that water was restored during the evening on Wednesday, 9 March.”

Koster resident, Hester Lombard excitedly told Platinum Weekly: “I’m going to start cleaning and fill a few water bottles just for safety’s sake.”
