Race to the sun! 

Sun City/ Rustenburg – It was a hive of activity on Saturday 7 May as members of the Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) took part in the popular Race to the Sun competition.

The race is a rigorous 157km gravel and mountain bike journey from Hartbeespoort to Sun City. 
Darryl Thompson performed well by completing the race in a time of 5:43 while Justin Brown crossed the finishing in a time of 5:50.

JP Stringer (6:26), Morne Petzer (5:50), Sharon O’Reilley (8:32) and Johan van der Merwe (8:32) – who are also members of the RCC – enjoyed a good race.     Special mention goes to Hennie Fourie (6:15), Charl Odendaal (06:06) and Danie Lombaard (6:18) for performing well in the Grand Master category.
