PEDAL POWER

Rustenburg – Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) members enjoyed themselves on Saturday 11 June 2022 at the Gauteng Cycling XCO Championships and the Kremetart Cycle Race.  

 
Justin van der Linde and Tamlyn Luyt took part in the Gauteng Cycling XCO Championships, held at Monte de Dios Country Boutique Hotel in Pretoria. Van der Linde finished second in the sub vet men category while Luyt claimed pole position in the youth category. Luyt’s achievement saw her finishing the XCO Gauteng Championships on top of the log in a time of 1hour 15minutes. 

The RCC are also very proud of Christo and Suzette van Staden who participated in the Kremetart Cycle Race in Limpopo, marking the 30th anniversary of the race. The two completed the 175km mixed tandem race in a time of 5hours 44minutes.
