Rustenburg – In an exhilarating week of football, the ORBIT College Football Club (FC) engaged in two challenging matches, testing their skills against some formidable opponents.

On Tuesday, 3 April 2024, ORBIT College FC took to the field against Baroka FC at the Global Stadium in Lebowakgomo, with the match kicking off at 15:00. ORBIT College showcased their offensive prowess early in the game, with Siyabulela Mabele breaking the deadlock in the 32nd minute to put the visitors ahead. The match proceeded to halftime with ORBIT leading 1-0, a testament to their tactical discipline and defensive resilience. However, the dynamics of the game shifted dramatically in the closing stages. Baroka FC mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring two rapid-fire goals in the 87th minute and during injury time. These late efforts flipped the script, handing Baroka FC a 2-1 victory over ORBIT College.

Continuing their campaign, ORBIT College faced the formidable Magesi FC on Saturday, 6 April 2024, at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. The match commenced at 15:00 under clear skies, setting the stage for another intense encounter.

Magesi FC, leading the league and known for their aggressive start, lived up to their reputation by netting an early goal in the 3rd minute, putting ORBIT on the back foot. The first half concluded with Magesi holding a slim 1-0 advantage. In the second half, Magesi FC continued to press, finding success once more in the 69th minute to extend their lead. Despite ORBIT College’s efforts to rally and claw back into the game, the match ended with a 2-0 victory for Magesi FC.

These back-to-back matches were a test of resilience and spirit for ORBIT College FC. Despite the outcomes, the team showcased moments of brilliance and teamwork.
